We’re planning our next community event and have a few ideas in mind, but we’d love to hear your thoughts too!

All superb ideas. I’ve seen some people on Reddit that seem to incorrectly think that Thousand Brains = HTM, or that the open-sourcing of Monty implies that Numenta “have run out of good ideas”, so an AMA would definitely be beneficial to show them this is far from the case!
A hackathon would be really awesome, but realistically, I’m not sure if the community has enough “critical mass” for sufficient participation at the moment 
Also, hackathons are great for a student crowd, but a little more logistically challenging for researchers and professionals. Suppose a hackathon was planned this week for example, unfortunately I’m not sure my boss and co-workers would let me take a week off in the middle of crunch time 
(I’d still try, though!)
