2025/10 - Representations in the Superior Colliculus

Jeff reviews literature on the superior colliculus and how it relates to how we think about the motor output of each cortical column. We talk about why this motor output could represent a location in egocentric space and how subcortical motor regions might interpret this output. We also discuss how much motor control might be learned subcortically rather than in the neocortex and how these ideas relate to Monty.
